Introducing Metagenome: a ground-up reinvention of the USB cable, crafted exclusively for the unique demands of USB audio. Drawing inspiration from our acclaimed Prion4S, Chimera, and Archetype designs, Metagenome reinterprets our analog philosophy for digital precision. This is not a generic 480 Mbps cable repurposed from the external hard drive world. It’s a true audiophile-first design, engineered for USB DACs and the protocols they rely on.

At its core: large-gauge OCC silver litz conductors, each element independently shielded, isolated, and grounded to preserve signal integrity and eliminate internal interference. The differential 90-ohm data pair, 5V power lines, and ground are all treated as separate systems, respecting their distinct electrical roles. We obsess over timing, impedance stability, and ground loop prevention—making Metagenome the most complex, labor-intensive cable in our lineup.

Custom sleeving options from our Prion4 and Chimera series complete the package, allowing you to tailor the look to your system. The standard build features our ultra-soft white sleeve with shimmering metallic copper and silver tracers.

Default length is 1 meter. Custom lengths available—shorter is always better for USB.  Standard A to B DAC cable — we will launch a USB-C version if we find connectors that meet our standards.
