Peter came into the world of audio as a hobby, from a background in microbiology and genetics.  The scientific method - forming hypotheses and predictions from existing research, testing them, then accepting or rejecting them - always served as a framework for DHC’s audio experimentation.  His first cables were part of a personal project to build the best headphone listening setup for himself, and each step in Double Helix Cables’ progression served to maximize his own enjoyment of the music as much as it served to bring the best sound to his customers.  At the same time, Peter rejects research for the sake of research, incoherent white papers to add veneers of authority, and novelty for the sake of novelty in the realm of audio.  If a cable doesn’t make the cut in his own personal stereo, passing his own tests of belief in the materials, design, and resultant sound, it has no place in DHC’s product line.
